Welcome! At Hemley Road Church of Christ, we're dedicated to sharing the Good News of Christ to the Bayou La Batre community and beyond.
What we believe
Our faith is firmly rooted in the teachings of the Bible. We believe in the importance of adhering to the precepts and examples set forth in the Old (knowledge and understanding) and New Testament (Christianity). We hold the conviction that the Bible is divinely inspired and serves as the ultimate guide for faith, worship, and daily living. Our commitment lies in upholding the pure and unchanging doctrine of Christ.
We believe:
- All scripture is from God – 2 Timothy 3:16-17
- One Lord Yahweh who does not change – Malachi 3:6-10
- We are all sinners – Romans 3:21-23
- The blood of Jesus was shed for us – 1 Peter 1:18-20
- Salvation comes from:
- Hearing – Romans 10:17
- Believing – Acts 16:25 – 32
- Repentance – Acts 3:17-20
- Confession – Romans 10:5-10
- Baptism (Immersion) for the remission of sin – 1 Peter 3:18-22
- Faithfully walk with Jesus and build a strong relationship – Revelation 2:8-10
- Salvation by God's Mercy and Grace through ones established faith – Ephesians 2:4-9
